October is here and so is the last quarter of 2024. October marks the transition from summer to fall (autumn). The weather begins to cool down, leaves change colors, and people enjoy activities like apple picking, hayrides, and enjoying the beautiful fall foliage.

It is also recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, dedicated to raising awareness about breast cancer, promoting early detection, and supporting those affected by the disease.

It is also synonymous with Halloween, a holiday celebrated on October 31st. It is a time for dressing up in costumes, carving pumpkins into jack-o'-lanterns, going trick-or-treating, and indulging in spooky-themed activities. Be careful while driving as kids will be out and about enjoying the holiday!

My name is Shawn Staska and I became a State Farm agent in 2001, after starting with the company as a Claims Handler in 1995. My office in located in Phoenixville, PA. I’m proud to serve Phoenixville and the surrounding communities, including Collegeville, Royersford, Pottstown, Downingtown, West Chester, Malvern and Exton. I grew up in Collegeville, PA and went to College at Kutztown University. While at Kutztown I earned a degree in Business Management. After College I worked for the Main Line Health System before finding my true calling as an insurance agent. Balancing family life and running a business has kept me busy and motivated! I understand the challenges of running a business and can help small business owners develop an insurance plan that works for their own business.
